Central Bank's Connect Series is offered in partnership with FamilyMeans Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS) to provide FREE Financial Education Seminars to our customers and community on a range of financial topics including:

Money Smart for Older Adults

This class will provide you with useful information about financial exploitation, including what it is, how to identify common types of fraud or scams and how to protect yourself or a loved one from becoming a victim.

Settle the Score: Taking Control of Your Credit

This class is an introduction to establishing credit and using it wisely. You will receive useful credit resources and tools and learn how to obtain credit reports, pay down debt and deal with credit problems using real world scenarios.

Successful Money Management

This class provides information and tips to create a successful spending plan that you can actually stick to. This class will help you to discover where and how you spend your money and discover useful tips for how to build savings.

Who Wants to Be Me, Anyway? ID Theft Awareness

Discover what identity theft is and why it’s a serious issue. This class will teach you how to prevent identity theft, determine if you’ve become a victim and defend yourself if you do become a victim.

Your Future Paycheck

This class will help people 40+ years of age to focus on finding answers to their retirement questions including, ‘What does retirement mean to me?’ and, ‘How will I get there?’ This course will discuss types of retirement income, budgeting basics and share key statistics about retirement and caregiving costs. This is not a class on retirement financials. You should consult your financial planner for specific guidance or before making any decisions that may affect your retirement.

Medicare: Enrollment, Costs, Coverage

Discover what Medicare is, what it costs, what it covers and when you need to enroll for coverage. This class will also discuss supplemental options for what isn't covered by Medicare and address specific issues that business owners and executives face when they stay active in their business past age 65.
