CENTRAL BANK PRIVACY POLICY

Protecting the privacy of our customers is important to Central Bank, its Board of Directors and its employees. Therefore, the following policy has been instituted to serve as a standard for all Central Bank employees for collection, use, retention, and security of nonpublic personal information.

WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect "nonpublic personal information" about our customers from the following sources:

  • Information we receive on applications or other loan and account forms;
  • Information about our customers' transactions with us or others; and
  • Information we receive from third parties such as credit bureaus.

"Nonpublic personal information" is nonpublic information that we obtain in connection with providing a financial product or service to our customers. For example, nonpublic personal information includes information regarding account balances, payment histories, and overdraft histories. We also use information we collect to identify you, to communicate with you and to help us respond to your questions.

WHAT INFORMATION WE DISCLOSE

We are permitted under law to share information about our experiences or transactions with our customers and their accounts (such as account balances and payment histories with us) with companies related to us by common control or ownership ("affiliates").

We also are permitted under law to disclose nonpublic personal information about our customers to "nonaffiliated third parties" in certain circumstances. For example, we may disclose nonpublic personal information about our customers to such third parties to assist us in servicing a loan or account with us; to government entities in response to subpoenas; and to credit bureaus. We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information to any other third parties, except as permitted by law.

When customers decide to close an account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will continue to adhere to the privacy policies and practices in this notice.

OUR SECURITY PROCEDURES

We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard our customers' nonpublic personal information.

EMPLOYEE ACCESS AND USE OF CUSTOMER INFORMATION

We have procedures that limit employee access to personally identifiable information to those employees with a business reason to know such information about you. We educate our employees about the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy through standard operating procedures, and our policies on ethics. We take appropriate disciplinary measures to enforce employee privacy responsibilities. All Central Bank employees are required to follow our Code of Ethics. The Code of Ethics provides that employees are obligated to keep customer information confidential and never to discuss or disclose such information inside or outside of Central Bank unless required to transact proper Central Bank business.

WEB PAGE PRIVACY

For your privacy, we do not collect identifying information about visitors to our website.

ON-LINE BANKING PRIVACY

For your protection and privacy, Central Banks On-Line Banking requires a Personal Identification Number (PIN) and password in order for you to access your accounts, and your account numbers are never displayed on the Internet. Central Banks On-Line Banking software also utilizes Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. SSL technology encrypts, or scrambles, your account information, so it becomes nearly impossible for anyone other than Central Bank to read it.

We may collect usage information from our On-Line Banking system, which is used to create summary and statistical reports regarding the types of transactions being initiated by our customers.

Central Bank also uses cookies to enhance your online banking session and make it more personal. Cookies are pieces of data assigned by a Web server to the browser on your PC to help our software recognize return visitors. These cookies do not collect personally identifiable information, and they are deleted when you quit your browser.

We are committed to maintaining complete and accurate information about our customers. Should you ever believe that our records contain inaccurate or incomplete information about you, please notify us. We will investigate your concerns and correct any inaccuracies.
